About This Blog

Awake and Await: Christian Life is a space for modern-day believers who long to live faithfully in the midst of a complex and ever-changing world.

Here, faith isn’t a rigid rulebook — it's a daily walk of awareness, purpose, and grace.

This blog is for Christians who want to grow spiritually, emotionally, and personally without fear, guilt, or shame.

It's for those who left the church — and those who stayed — yet still wonder: “How can I live as a true light in this world?”

Through reflections, quiet encouragement, and honest questions, may you find here a gentle rhythm of faith that helps you stay awake… and joyfully awaiting the Kingdom to come.

800 x 800 px, A cozy, peaceful city apartment at dawn. A large window looks out over a modern city skyline with blue early morning light, scattered building lights still on. Inside, the room is dimly lit with a warm reading lamp or soft ambient lighting. On a small table near the window, there's a cup of coffee, an open book or tablet, and perhaps a soft blanket draped over a chair.

About the Writer

My name is Paul Song, though here I simply write as Paul of Await — a name that reflects my heart’s posture before the Lord.

I hold a doctorate in theology from the United States, and while I’ve traveled widely over the years, I now reside in my homeland, South Korea.

In my younger years, I focused deeply on theology and doctrine — but as time has passed, I’ve come to treasure the quiet, consistent faith of daily life even more.

This blog is where I share what I’m still learning: not as a professor or pastor, but as a fellow pilgrim — one who is still growing, still listening, and still waiting.

For decades, I have taught, written, and prayed — and still, I wait.

I wait for the return of the King.

I wait for the fullness of His Kingdom.

And while I wait, I write.

Until the Kingdom comes,

Paul of Await
